We love you Opa

I don't blog much about family life or personal stuff, but it feels shallow to be taking pictures and talking about sewing when yesterday we lost a member of our family. My father-in-law went to be with Jesus yesterday. I don't really have the words to describe how wonderful he was. Or to describe how sad we are that he is gone. He will be greatly missed.

I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Sorry to hear about your loss. But at least he is with the Lord now. That verse you posted is one of my favourites. May you find peace during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad very suddenly back in February and it's still very fresh in my mind.

"The Lord bless you, and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace."

I don't even know y'all - but this brought tears to my eyes.

Seriously.

I know the realities of losing someone close. I also know that there is the Hope that we as Christians have that we WILL see our loved ones again. Makes me long for Heaven more and more every day.

So sorry for your loss, Joanna. He looks like he was a real sweetheart. I'm sure he will be missed.

i came looking for your baby shoes and stayed to look around. i am so sorry for your loss, but you have one thing right: we do not have to mourn as the world mourns, b/c we WILL see our loved ones again in Heaven. don't know you, but i'm praying for you and your family.
