Related to a Blogger

My kids have been begging for a camera ever since last week when mine came in the mail and they were told they have to keep their paws off. So my husband was online buying me a tripod, and he saw this el cheapo camera that somehow ended up in the cart too. It all came in the mail last night. The kids each got 20 minutes turns to mess around with it, and when the images got loaded up on the computer, look what I found!

k

Is his mommy a blogger, or what???!!!! Bwa ha ha!!!

Oh, and if you're wondering why I suddenly turned on comments after a year and a half of going without, I had an epiphany yesterday when I was talking to my oldest son. I was telling him about my memories of taking a speech class in college and how nervous I would get before speaking in public.

Him: Mom, you should have just pretended that there was no one in the audience.

Me: Yeah, but you have to make eye contact with people when you're giving a speech. You can't just look at the ceiling.

Him: Why not?

Me: Because eye contact is important if you want your audience to trust you. Eye contact is important if you want to make a connection with them. Besides, in a speech class you could end up with an F if you look at the ceiling.

Him: OK

Me (in my head): Oh my gosh. I've been blogging as if I don't have an audience. I've been blogging at the ceiling. I don't want an F.

I'm glad you have turned your comments on, I like to say hello now and then so I don't feel like a blog stalker ;) lol!!

I hope you find many more wonderful surprises on the kids camera when you upload.

Hi!!

I guess I am a blog stalker... I have about 300 blogs I browse, and I probably leave maybe a comment a month.

Maybe I should work on that for speech class :)

Hi there! I stumbled across your blog when looking for a pattern for cloth baby shoes. I quickly added you to my RSS feed, as I love to see all the craftiness you churn out. You have inspired me to be more creative! Thanks! (Oh, and I hope your arm/back/shoulder feel better quickly.)

I've been wanting to comment since I saw you got your Juki. One fell into my lap, and I'm excited to have it -- but haven't accomplished what your master hands have done. Was hoping to see photos of those Christmas leather bags, etc. You are inspiring.
Thanks, Suzanne in Phx. (my husband's pic on the comment icon)

Oooh, I'm going to continue blogging at the ceiling for a while yet, comments just sap my time like nothing else! But, I'm glad yours are on... yes, I'm a total hypocrite! Now, if you'll just publish a full feed... course I keep mine short too, ha!

You all are the sweetest! Jessica--you'll be getting no pressure from me to turn yours on. Comments a double-edged sword.

For at least the first month after following your blog, I kept looking for a comments box. I finally gave up because I thought it was my browser!

Ha ha ha. Oh Joanna, you're so funny. I've been telling crafty people about your blog and it's just sooo good. So I'm happy that you're finally letting people say so on your site. Just don't feel like you have to respond to us! :)
