Here we are. Simplicity 4589 the third. This time around I felt a lot more confident, enough so that I didn't refer to the directions--a good feeling.
I also took more time to enjoy the process. I made my own bias tape and instead of using the serger, I used the bias tape to finish off the inside seams.
I also used bias tape to hem the bottom. Not that anyone else would notice.
I revised the pattern a bit by flaring it out on the bottom. I have a favorite pair of capri pants that flare a bit and thought it would look nice to have the shirt follow the same lines.
I think I've gotten my money's worth out of this pattern, don't you? I still have some fabric that is begging to be made into a shirt. Just one more.
