Simplicity 4589 -- take two

Thanks to Nikkishell and Berlin's Whimsy for introducing me to this pattern. I'm now officially addicted. I keep thinking of ways to tweak it. This time it was creating a pleated front instead of a gathered one--so much easier for me. There are already plans for another two of these. I love how summer shirts (and the sleeveless ones, especially) require so little fabric. One yard, that's it.

Amber set up a flickr group for this pattern as well. Check it out. It astounds me how just changing out the fabric can make it seem like a totally different shirt.
fabric: $2.99 quilter's cotton from Joann's
trim: Michael Miller's organic cotton bias tape
