Handquilting

I never thought I'd have the patience for quilting by hand. Turns out I do.

That yellow print fabric looks great with the linen.
Thanks for your comment on my blog :D I so enjoyed making shoes and will definitely be making more as baby gifts!

I enjoy hand quilting, but am cought up in the knitting right now. Most of my big quilts are finished by hand and pieced by machine. It's more relaxing and makes them even more special.

Good for you!
I have found that it is not for me..although I love the process of constructing a quilt.

Always love to see what you are up to.

Isn't it fun? It's like a vacation from the machine.

I love it, just wish it didn't take so long :-)

I am the world's most impatient person and yet I have only ever quilted by hand. Therapeutic isn't it?

I love how relaxing it is to quilt by hand. I find it to be my meditation time! I also love how it looks. So organic! I'm in the middle of a quilt project, too! It's a great spring activity.

What thread did you use to hand quilt? I am working on one at the moment and as soon as I am finished with the binding that is giving me fits I would love to try a bit of this.

Thanks!!!
