Breakfast with Daddy

Our Friday mornings are reserved for breakfast with Daddy at his cafeteria. That is, if he doesn't have any meetings before 9 o'clock. We get up early, get our clothes on and head over to his office. It's been a fun tradition. One that we've enjoyed for a few years now. I'll be sad when Davey has to go to school on Fridays next year, because then our Friday mornings will be a whole lot different. For now, I love that even something simple like breakfast can be an adventure.

Running to the cafeteria:

The view out the window ain't bad either:

What a great tradition! I love seeing the boys in action, running. We have a lot of those shots, too.

Having kids grow up and having things change is bittersweet, ins't it?

What a lovely thing to do! That would be so special for all of you! Maybe a new tradition will replace it next year- a special pancake breakfast on saturdays??!!

I love traditions!!! Turning the ordinary into extraordinary when you do it all together. And mmmm... what a yummy breakfast that looks like. Looks like all the food groups to me.

That is a great thing to do! The kids will remember it fondly and probably do something of the like with their children. Don't worry, another tradition will make it's way into your lives because that is just how you are.

What an especially lovely thing to do. Traditions like this are so important. Maybe you can think of something special to do with dad after school ends on Fridays next year--an afternoon treat at his office or something.

What a great little tradition!! How sad that it will have to come to an end next year when Davey starts school. Hopefully you will be able to replace it with an equally memorable tradition.

I loved popping into Michel's work with the children, but unfortunately we won't be able to anymore now that he works in Amsterdam...
