Six

Davey turned six years old last week and wanted a party at one of those big blow up bouncy places. I appliqued a T shirt for him the night before. Here's the action shot.

This was hilarious. My son beating up a GIRL!!!! Don't worry, she was pretty good at defending herself. They only boxed for about 2 minutes. Those gloves were so heavy that they kept falling all over themselves.

Keith wanted a shirt too, so I made him one right before we left the house. Here's his action shot.

SPROING!!!!!!

Happy Birthday Davey. I'd love to have my birthday at a bouncy castle. But apparently I'm too old and too big!

But now I am six,
I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six
now and forever.

happy birthday davey!

we just went to one of those places last week to play -- man alive, it takes a lot of work to get my hiney up to go down the humongous slide.

Very cute shirts! Do you think my 14-year old would like one???? Didn't think so.

Hi, I am new to sewing and I have been wondering, when you apply appliqué; as you have, how do you keep the fabric from fraying? Thank you very much, Donna.

Hi Donna--
Sorry I couldn't email this to you, but your profile isn't enabled. Anyhow--good question. It DOES fray, the way that I did it. It's intentional. I could have taken the time to fold the edges under, but I chose to do it this way. It seems to be "the look" of the moment--according to the mini-boden catalog anyway :)
