Dream Wall

I don't really have a craft room. I've pretty much taken over the dining room with all my sewing paraphernalia. But we only really use it twice a year for dining, if that.... I don't know. I kind of think it's time to just quit pretending that it's a dining room. I love the big table that's in there, but I'm getting a little tired of working around all the chairs. The other night, Dave came home from a meeting and caught me peeling off wall paper. It's ugly. It's original to the house and screams 1987. I know I have no business starting something that I can't finish in a timely manner. Especially since we will be having a full bathroom remodel in the next couple of months. Anyway, it's just time. That's all I'm saying.

I think I need to snag your drawing for my studio overhaul....it's a spare/storage/junk collection/crafting room right now and oh so unmotivating!

Go for it girl! At times like these, I just wish I didn't have that 9-5 day job so I can have those day times to start and finish a home makeover project! Do remember to take before & after pictures and show them to us.

That's my problem, too, Evelyn. The boys go down at 8:30 pm. So I have from 9 - 12 at night to get things done. And no loud noises!

your dream wall looks fantastic! peeling wall paper can be addictive. in my first house I ripped some down in the middle of a sunday afternoon and I found a place where there was a BIG gap in the sheetrock. they wallpapered right over it. that was pretty scary. hope you don't come across anything like that!

Ooo, your wall is dreamy! I think you should totally turn your dining room into your studio. If I had a dining room, that's what I would do.

Love the drawing - you need to have a dream and it's amazing how you can get something done when you really want to.

I love your sketch. You could hang it in the finished room, it would make a nice piece of art. Or at least it could hang on the wall while you work on the project. It looks like a great plan!

great sketch! i would love a craft room too! my sewing table is also my dining room table (sometimes if i don't want to lug the sewing machine to the dining room, i'll just sew on the computer desk)...

I do have my own craft corner, it' s one half of our sleeping room.
The problem is, I can't sleep because one eye is always on my desk ;-) So if you could take over the dining room would be great!

I like the drawing of your dream wall! If you end up redoing it, you definitely need to show us some photos:)

I will be waiting to see the final result of your craft room, however long time it takes :-)

Thank you so much for the nice comment on my blog and for the link!
