FatQuarter Challenge--Take 3 and 4

Duuude. I did it!

I even managed to get these done when there was still a little bit of daylight left to take half-decent pictures. I still have a 2" x 3" rectangle left, but I think I'm going to save it for the center of log-cabin pillow cover.

I'm kind of a closet blogger, you know. Not too many people I know in real-life even know I sew or have a blog. This morning when I was dropping off my son at preschool, someone commented that I looked kind of tired. What was I supposed to say?--that I stayed up late 2 nights in a row sewing stuff for the fat quarter challenge? Yeah, right! Don't think she would have understood.

We understand!!! Funny some of my friends think I am crazy for having a blog, so I just don't discuss it with them. Their loss right? :o) Fantastic book cover. Congratulations for getting it done. I new you would! BTW...is the "Time Travellers Wife" a good book?

I love your ideas for the Fat quarter Challenge!
Ya know I've been blogging for awhile and never told my family until like this past Feb. when they came to visit me here in NH for the first time. Now they read it daily (if I update) and can keep up with us. It's hard living far away :( Keep on Sewing! I'm loving it! I may get my Machine out today!

Well played! I especially love the cup sleeve. And I know what you mean about the whole blogging thing. It's just hard to explain; when someone does find out I have one, I can't help feeling a little embarrassed.

Love the book cover and cup cozy. You did a great job.

Thank you for playing along in the Fat Quarter Challenge. We will be drawing a winner today.

I have two women at church that have been checking out my blog...one is a close friend and the other is just super crafty that my friend told her about it so she could check it out and get to know me better from this side of my life. You know how it is when you go to church with all those kids, you had a rough morning but you put a smile on your face anyhow so no one knows it.

The book cover and cup cozy look great! I am in the same boat. Only my sister and husband know I have a blog.

Those are so great!

This post hit home for me, too. I'm a closet blogger and not many people understand my crafts and such. I just plug away in my own little world, venturing out for work and play... It's fun that way!

Love it all! I'm a closet blogger too. It is weird to me that I will write about things for the whole world to see yet am afraid to tell my friends about my blog.

Sweeeeeet!

Ditto about your closet blogger comment. Only my husband, sister, and one friend on the east coast know of my blog.
And I also love your comment below your "ABOUT ME" section. I too have no business blogging and I only have 2 kiddos! =)

I'm totally with you on the secret blogging/crafting. I usually opt out of bringing it up for fear of the google eyed blank stare. I love the herringbone with the paint by numbers!

Haha! People never "get" what we do. Sometimes when people ask what I like to do for fun I make the mistake of responding "knit." They look at me like I'm a 90 year old grandma. And don't even get me started on if I say "knit blog." They have no clue! Hey more fun for us, right?!

Well at least we understand! I know what you mean though, a lot of people look at me like I am crazy when I tell them I blog. In fact a lot of them ask me what a blog even is:) Oh and a few of my real life friends think it is strange that I sew and knit, because they think only their grandmothers would ever do that... I think their grandmothers are cool!

I have told only one person irl that I have a blog, and only then because she told me she had one. Your matching set is cute!

Congrat's you did so well making all this stuff out of one fat quarter.

It's strange isn't it, a woman outside school was crocheting and she said this will do nothing for my street cred, but I need to make this gift for a friend who's just had a baby.

Lose your 'street cred '? I was so impressed she could crochet, (something I just cannot do, however many times I try.) It weird what views people have on sewing, knitting, crocheting etc.. When I just love making stuff !

And of course blogging, nobody seems to understand that !
