Getting Organized

I organized my laundry room. It's a little closet just big enough for the washer and dryer, but since storage space is a bit of an issue in our house (man, I miss our old basement!), a lot of things just kind of end up in here. I'm in love with these collapsible boxes, and how they really brighten up the space. Got 'em at Target.
I also got a small one for the van to tote around whatever it is I need to work on when we go on road trips. This Saturday--when we took a little road trip to the island to hike around on the land--it happened to be crochet. My mom taught me some basics a long time ago, but I needed a refresher, since I will soon be crocheting this. I'm going to do a crochet-along with a friend of mine. Wanna join us? :) By the way, the weather was in the fifties and we had a fabulous view of Mt. Rainier.
Spring is just around the corner! I can't wait.

And doesn't it feel good when somewhere is organised? Love the look of th eblanket, by the way, what colour are you going to do it?

I have the same problem in my washroom. Looks like a fabulous solution.

We just got four inches of snow last night. That kind of killed my wishful delusions of Spring coming soon!

I've been on a fabric box kick lately too. I've been organizing all my fabric by color and putting them in the boxes on a bookshelf. Something about having a unified front view makes everything looks so nice!

The walk looks lovely - I'm heading to your part of the woods next weekend and I can't wait to see all the trees and water. Georgia just has swamp ;)

love the little boxes. those are cute.

storage is an issue for us too, despite our basement. i'm hoping to one day have a rec room down there for the boys, but the prospect isn't looking so good.

Why is it that tidying and organising makes us feel good??Perhaps it's seeing the order come out of chaos...speaking of which my craft shelves are a mess!

I LOVE Target. I have those bins with the shelves for the kids toys and I need more, they're awesome. James knows the action figures are in the blue bin, etc. The tags are a great idea because I always forget what goes in which bin.

With the little tags on the front and everything! That looks so neat and organizesd. I may have to steal this look for my pantry; I hate the sliding stacks of goodie bags and paper plates and stuff. Thanks for the inspiration!
